When we talk about waste, it is often the food sector that comes to mind . However, more than 630 million euros of consumer products are thrown away
or destroyed each year in France.
And even more so when Spring arrives . We all have the same idea in mind: to do a big sort out. And this often involves tidying up the wardrobe. Everything tends to end up in the trash when we can now do better.

Fortunately, today it is entirely possible to find alternatives to get rid of the clothes you no longer wear while reducing your impact on the planet . Used or not, all these textile materials can be, for the majority of them, recycled and/or resold on dedicated platforms.

Whether it's Vinted , La Reboucle , Leboncoin , Vestiaire Collective , there are many clothing resale platforms.
A great idea that allows you to empty your closets but also to make a little money in return. No matter the brand, the clothing, the pair of shoes or the accessory, everything is sellable. All you have to do is take a photo of your item and follow the steps to put it online and that's it.
3rd option : Find a new use for them
The current trend is Do It Yourself, so why not transform your old clothes? Whether it's tea towels, sponges, masks, fabric wrapping paper, there are
an incredible number of tutorials on the internet to get you started on these projects .
2) Even the biggest ones are getting involved
Some world-famous brands are trying to change their habits in order to offer more ethical clothing. This is particularly the case of Patagonia, which in order to generate less waste , recently proposed to no longer put a logo on its clothing. In addition, the brand also announced its definitive withdrawal from the corporate clothing market. Indeed, on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley, it had become customary for many companies to offer a vest flocked with their logo, followed by that of Patagonia. This is how today, this trend has been interrupted by the brand which stops its production of "midtownuniforms" as they are called in the USA.
A real awareness which can therefore be welcomed, at a time when far too many companies still consider their turnover as the priority.
