But what is this color that we see absolutely everywhere at the moment?
And what makes her so adored? Soft and mysterious , not far from pink,
This year , lilac seems to be establishing itself as the color of 2021 .
After already making a few appearances last season, lilac has become as chic as pink and offers a fairly wide palette in terms of shades.
As you will have understood, it is impossible to escape our dear lilas , unmissable
of this year.
1) An unexpected color that overshadows its comrades
for its “ mémérisan ” aspect.
Because other colors follow it
up close, in bright shades that give a better glow to our skin dulled by winter.
which were announced as every year as the dominant colors of their infinite palette.
And yet, the collections of this last season and that of spring-summer announce something completely different: an avalanche of shades that are both soft and powdery .
in a pastel version and can now be found in the brands' many e-shops
ready-to-wear such as Mango, H&M or Zara. Colors that change.
2) We needed it
After a year of life on hold, between confinement, the crisis, teleworking, the curfew, we all needed comfort .
Our future is still uncertain as we write to you,
but it's as if the fashion industry wanted to spread softness , to find
a little calm in this world that has become confusing.
The designers had already passed the word during the collections' fashion shows.
fall-winter 2021. We were able to see the most prominent fashion houses such as Rochas, Givenchy , Hugo Boss, Alexander McQueen, Paul & Joe, Alberta Ferretti but also
Saint Laurent , who already placed lilac violet at the forefront of their shows. As if to voluntarily lighten their chromatic ranges, less flashy and whisper in our ear: "It's going to be okay."
3) But then, the big question is: how to wear lilac?
It actually seems to be a good alternative to pink and suitable for all seasons. The latter has the advantage of bringing an extra touch of style without overdoing it. It is dosed with precision, but remains quite remarkable in intensity . And if it seems difficult to wear at first, think again, it requires little practice to fully adopt
to all styles.
It is a shade that allows you to soften certain contours of leather pants,
or even to give a personal touch to an outfit in beige/white tones.
In short : it's simple, combine lilac with classic colors like black, gray or white. You can also choose it accompanied by brown , orange , yellow and all its pastel companions .
And the little tip from Atelier St Eustache is to adopt lilac in small touches, with the Nakameguro Lilas , an accessory that will bring contrast and softness to your white outfits, for those who would not yet dare to try the all-purple pieces. Here is our little suggestion of a sock look !
