Here is the illustrated story of our installation in our new offices, at Passage Thiaffait.
As you probably already know, the creation of Atelier St Eustache began in Paris. Violette then came to settle in Lyon, and after some time working from home, she looked for offices .
A resident outside the walls for a year at the Village des Créateurs , she first turned to the label to submit an application. And just like that, an office was free !
The premises at the Village des Créateurs are quite popular: when an office becomes available, several applications are submitted. The selection criteria are numerous but the main one remains the field of activity. It is essential to be a creator in fashion or design .
During the application period, the idea of sharing offices was raised. Because at Atelier St Eustache, we like contact with other designers, we found it interesting to share the office on which another brand was applying. The idea appealed to the selection committee: the Atelier St Eustache x Joli Lab adventure began!
Who is Joli Lab?
Joli Lab was created in 2018 by Marie and Margot , two creative friends. This long-standing friendship is first and foremost a shared passion: sewing . They both wanted to offer creative but also trendy fashion, to sew or ready-to-wear. The first collection of sewing kits was released at the end of March 2019. The Joli Lab adventure is launched! For the roles, the distribution was done naturally: Margot for styling and graphics and Marie for marketing.
Joli Lab is first and foremost a pronounced taste for "slow fashion", pretty cuts and soft materials . The French roots of the two designers weighed in the balance in the choice to have the sewing kits assembled in France . As well as the t-shirts, sweatshirts and illustrations that are printed in Lyon.
“The more the merrier!”
In order to work in a warm and pleasant place, some work was necessary. Violette from Atelier St Eustache, and Marie and Margot from Joli Lab, therefore undertook to refresh the offices and make them reflect their image.
First, we had to think about organizing the 40m² of the office: an Atelier St Eustache space, a Joli Lab space, and a relaxation area were essential. The colors on the walls helped to delimit these spaces, and add a little softness. For our part, we (again) used the copper pipes to build a lamp and a sock rack this time (thank you Heju for your very interesting DIY blog). Finally, the essential plants took their place to finish dressing the offices.
Today, offices are a real place for sharing ideas , good humor , and hard work of course!
They are also destined to grow with the team, since there are now three of us at Atelier St Eustache. In order to follow the transformations, I invite you to follow us on Instagram . We will share with you the latest news on the layout of our offices!
