The patterned sockÂ
Socks are the accessory of winter , but there is no question of wearing only simple socks, the trend is towards fantasy . Sometimes decorated with ruffled lace or adorned with different blocks of colors , socks come in multiple variations .
Flocked and sporty at Dior or with autumnal patterns at Atelier St Eustache , socks also have their combination. Worn with a pretty pair of loafers like Matilda Djerf or matched with a pair of heels like Carla Ginola , socks go with everything and allow us to take out our summer shoes even when the season ends.
Loose socks
Fans of manga and Japanese culture , you have certainly already seen these pretty socks somewhere. Called rūzu sokkusu in Japan, they are a way for young Japanese women to personalize the mandatory uniform they wear. Particularly fashionable in the early 2000s , they are experiencing a resurgence of interest from luxury brands .
Miuccia Prada is a prime example of this with her latest collection for Miu Miu . And the trend is becoming increasingly popular on social media, adopted by all fashionistas, regardless of their clothing style, but generally inspired by the Japanese universe , particularly that of the manga Nana , written by Ai Yazawa in the early 2000s, full of references to fashion and punk and shibuya girl styles .
The high sock
A particular characteristic of sixties or preppy looks, the high sock is all the rage this year. Just below the knee at the latest Jacquemus show or reaching mid-calf for Monet de Haan in the Gossip Girl reboot, the high sock has not finished making its place this season.
Ideally, it is also matched with a pair of loafers or platform heels . A trend to adopt to give yourself a little Cher Horowitz look in Clueless .
